In a world after collapse and destruction there is still a glimmer of hope: The Rockstars of the Apocalypse set out full of attitude and style, with music running through their veins and passion burning in their hearts – just to make one dream come true: to return rock music to the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Its purpose. Its immortal soul. Frenzied fans, roaring amplifiers and thundering drums – the spirit of rock’n’roll!
Founded as a fully immersive post-apocalyptic rock band acting and performing in live-action roleplay events, MEGABOSCH was suddenly discovered in 2013 by the world’s biggest Heavy Metal Festival: WACKEN OPEN AIR. Their formula: Rammstein-flavored German lyrics, high explosive hard rock & metal, a theatrical tongue-in-cheek show and pure distilled “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll”.
After years of countless shows at WACKEN Wasteland they’ve become what they once jokingly proclaimed to be: The Rockstars of the Apocalypse!

A MEGABOSCH concert is a pure high-energy blast: pounding riffs, stage theatrics, and post-apocalyptic excess. Driving heavy music that draws on numerous rock history clichés; testosterone-fueled and intense. Their shows are fierce, over-the-top about the unrestrained life in a post-apocalyptic world – bitter but always with a wink. It is intense, sweaty, loud – and unforgettable. Fat sound, a large dose of fun, and passionate virtuosity make MEGABOSCH distilled rock ‘n’ roll – exaggerated to the edge of caricature. Wacken
In 2013 WACKEN OPEN AIR introduced a brand-new attraction: The Wasteland Stage – built from old shipping containers and tons of rusty steel. MEGABOSCH was chosen to inaugurate this stage as the sole act. The four post-apocalyptic rockers unleashed a gigantic party with huge flames, martial warriors, and provocatively dressed dancers on the WACKEN holy ground.

A live DVD shot in 2014 shows the performance on this coolest of all stages. In 2022, the Rockstars of the Apocalypse returned to WACKEN and played every year since. In 2025 it’ll be their 7th WACKEN OPEN AIR!
Background
MEGABOSCH was originally founded in 2009 as a pure fun project for a live-action role-playing game (LARP). To this day the role-playing-enthusiast musicians remain true to this background and regularly participate in postapocalyptic LARPs not just as musicians but also as active roleplayers.
Since the settings of these events almost feel like a fully walkable film set, it is only natural that MEGABOSCH has shot several music videos there by now.

In 2025, MEGABOSCH will cross the Atlantic to bring their post-apocalyptic rock to the wastelands of the Mojave Desert – joining and celebrating the 15th anniversary of the legendary Wasteland Weekend. But first, they’ll light the fuse at the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles: a full-throttle warm-up show featuring 3 confirmed acts of Wasteland Weekend 2025 with fire, fury, and the spirit of post-apocalyptic rock’n’roll.
